The Canadian Hemochromatosis Society is always looking for individuals who are willing to help increase hemochromatosis awareness.
A new Regional Coordinator program has just been launched and new volunteers are most welcome. From sea to sea, individuals have volunteered to be the point person(s) in their communities, recruiting others to help spread awareness of hemochromatosis where opportunities exist, and providing leadership and support for families affected by hemochromatosis. Regional Coordinators get together four times each year by conference call to share ideas and experiences.
For more information on the Regional Coordinator program, please contact us.
The Calgary support group is planning its 2011 Spring Awareness Activities and need your help! If you can volunteer your time to spread awareness of hemochromatosis in Calgary and the surrounding areas, please contact Anne Stang at (403) 246-6968 or stangam@shaw.ca.
There are many ways you can volunteer in your community to help get the word out about hemochromatosis during Awareness Month, and year round:
We are looking for student volunteers throughout the year to fill various positions. If you are interested, please contact Student Volunteer Coordinator Able Tsang at volunteer@toomuchiron.ca.
For more information on any of the volunteer opportunities above, please contact us.
